Nuraghe Su Mulinu Villanovafranca

Nuraghe Su Mulinu Villanovafranca

The Nuraghe Su Mulinu of Villanovafranca reveals a millenary history that spans the different phases of the Nuragic period, starting from the Middle Bronze Age (18th-15th centuries B.C.) to the Recent Bronze Age (14th-13th centuries B.C.), the Final Bronze Age (12th-10th centuries B.C.) and the Early Iron Age (10th-8th centuries B.C.).
This long historical sequence continues with the late Punic phase (4th-3rd centuries B.C.), then with the Republican and Imperial Roman Age (3rd century B.C.-7th century A.D.) and finally with the Vandal, Byzantine (6th-9th centuries A.D.) and Medieval (10th-11th centuries A.D.) periods. This can be therefore considered a multi-layered site.
