Tomba di Giganti di Sa Sedda de Sa Caudela Collinas

Tomba di Giganti di Sa Sedda de Sa Caudela Collinas

On a picturesque hill set within vineyards, about 3 kilometres from the village of Collinas, which owes its name to the gentle hills that surround it, we come across the two megalithic Nuragic tombs of Sa Sedda De Sa Caudela.
This typology of tombs, dating mostly from the Middle Bronze Age, is commonly known as giants’ tombs. The massive stone blocks that generally make up the tombs have long led to the belief that only a race of giants could have moved them and that they were built for their burial.
