Il territorio del Sulcis Iglesiente, è stato sfruttato sin dall’ epoca Nuragica per via della presenza del metallo, infatti ci troviamo in una delle zone della Sardegna con la maggior concentrazione di minerali di tipo metallifero, come ad esempio piombo, zinco, e la galena un minerale che contiene al suo interno l’ argento.
